Smarties cocoa is Rainforest Alliance Certified, and sustainably sourced through the Nestlé Cocoa Plan. This means our chocolate tastes great, and it helps build a brighter future for cocoa farmers and their families.

Since 2009, Nestlé Cocoa Plan has built 49 schools and supported more than 44,000 children's education in Côte d'Ivoire.

We've also switched our Smarties range to a more widely recyclable paper packaging - a first for a global confectionary brand. You can pop every Smarties wrapper straight into the paper bin and be a recycling hero by help increasing the recyclability of the paper wrapper. It's just one of our SMART initiatives, which also include removing artificial colors and adding portion guidance on every pack.
