These sods of Turf, or Peat, are harvested by hand from Cappabane Mountain Bog in East Clare, Ireland. Box contains .68 cubic Feet of Naturally dried turf. Turf is seasoned at least one year after retrieved from bog. Burning this product gives off a distinct aroma that is unique to the Irish Fireplace. Turf burns hotter than the same weight in wood and will burn longer. To get the most from your turf, burn in an open fireplace. Light the fire using wood or other fuels and when you are ready to settle down beside the fire add in 2 or 3 sods. Repeat as needed. Box contains approx. 14-16 sods.
